A 1-year-old girl and a 24-year-old woman were injured in a shooting on Christmas Eve at a home on Detroit's east side. The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday at a residence on the 19000 block of Binder Street, near Outer Drive, according to Detroit police.

Detroit Police Deputy Chief Arnold Williams reported that when officers arrived at the Binder Street home, they found numerous bullets had penetrated the residence. Officers searched the house after observing the damage caused by the gunfire.
Victims Located and Injuries Reported
While police were conducting their search of the Binder Street home, they learned that a 1-year-old girl and a 24-year-old woman had been shot and were at a family member's residence on Concord Street. Officers obtained this information during their on-site investigation.
According to police, the 24-year-old woman sustained a gunshot wound to her hand, and the 1-year-old girl was shot in her leg. Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital. Deputy Chief Williams stated that the woman and the child were in stable condition following their arrival at the medical facility.

Investigators believe that an individual exited a vehicle and fired several shots at the Binder Street home before leaving the scene. As of the latest information provided, no suspects have been arrested in connection with the shooting.
