Livonia Man Charged With First-Degree Murder in Quadruple Shooting on Rensellor Street
A 25-year-old Livonia man faces multiple first-degree murder charges following the fatal shootings of four people, including three of his family members, at a local home. Gage Wade Pierce was charged by the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office with four counts of first-degree murder and four counts of felony firearm. He is scheduled to be arraigned Friday morning in the 16th District Court.
Livonia police officers responded to the residence on Rensellor Street at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Upon arrival, officers discovered the suspect's parents, 53-year-old Holly Kimball and 58-year-old Sterling Pierce, dead on the backyard patio. Inside a bedroom of the home, police found the bodies of the suspect's brother, 22-year-old Tanner Pierce, and the brother's girlfriend, 21-year-old Nevaeh Finch.
Investigators reported that all four victims suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Prosecutors allege that Gage Pierce repeatedly fired a semi-automatic rifle at the victims. Additionally, a dog was found inside the home with a gunshot wound to its front right leg. The animal was transported to Veterinary Emergency Service West in Plymouth for medical treatment.
According to investigators, there was a known contentious relationship between Gage Pierce and his parents, though police have not identified any known disputes between the suspect and his brother. Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy characterized the incident as a domestic violence mass homicide and stated that her office will aggressively prosecute the case.
