Philadelphia Teen Facing Felony Charges After Seizure of 3D-Printed Firearms and Printers

An 18-year-old Philadelphia man is facing felony charges after law enforcement officials uncovered a 3D-printed firearm manufacturing and sales operation at his home, Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday announced Monday. Kiseem Pressley, a convicted felon prohibited from possessing firearms, was arrested following a search of his residence on the 6300 block of Chew Avenue.

During the search, investigators from the Attorney General's Gun Violence Task Force and the Philadelphia Police Department seized three 3D printers, nine 3D-printed handgun lowers, a fully assembled firearm, and other manufacturing materials. According to prosecutors, investigators launched the inquiry after Pressley posted on social media that he had firearms available for sale and shared images of himself holding weapons.

Attorney General Sunday stated that Pressley was actively distributing untraceable firearms in the community. "Every print-at-home firearm that is transferred on the street presents a direct threat to public safety, as the guns are not traceable and could potentially be used in acts of violence or other crimes," Sunday said in a statement.

Pressley is currently being held in custody on $500,000 bail and a probation detainer. The investigation into the distribution of the manufactured weapons and their final destinations remains ongoing by the Gun Violence Task Force.
