Investigation Unfolds at Philadelphia Home Linked to Missing Woman and Drug Activity
Authorities are investigating a Philadelphia residence connected to 44-year-old Eugene Horsch, who was arrested after a park ranger discovered illegal activity in a parked BMW. The ranger approached the vehicle on June 19, where he heard a woman in the back seat exclaim, “You’re going to hurt me!” Police found two guns, crack cocaine, and a cattle prod inside the car, leading to Horsch's arrest on federal and municipal charges.
Upon searching Horsch's home in the Olney neighborhood, investigators uncovered additional weapons, drugs, and various chemicals stored in containers. The FBI has been called in to analyze the substances found in the basement, which included a 55-gallon drum connected to water lines. Philadelphia Deputy Police Commissioner Frank Vanore stated that the investigation is ongoing and that they are still determining the nature of the chemicals.
Notably, two identification cards were found in Horsch's vehicle: a fake Drug Enforcement Administration badge and an ID belonging to a missing woman from Philadelphia. While the name on the ID raised concerns, Vanore confirmed that there were no bodies discovered at the scene. Horsch's defense attorney, Jerry Brown, plans to enter not guilty pleas for his client and expressed skepticism about the investigation's direction.
As of Tuesday afternoon, police remained stationed outside Horsch's home, and the investigation continues as authorities seek to clarify the connections between the drugs, weapons, and the missing woman.
