Mango Opens Fourth New York City Store at 1976 Broadway

Store opening and location

Mango announced the opening of its newest New York City store at 1976 Broadway in Manhattan's Lincoln Square neighborhood. It is Mango's fourth store in New York City, joining the existing locations at 711 Fifth Avenue, 561 Broadway in SoHo, and 20 Hudson Yards.

Store specifics

The new store will encompass approximately 8,800 square feet and will offer the brand's Woman and Man lines. The design includes the New Med concept and elements of local influence, with sustainability and architectural integration described as key to the design. The store is conceived as a Mediterranean home featuring warm tones and neutral colors, using traditional, handcrafted, and natural materials.

Design and production

Collections are designed at the Barcelona atelier, where a team of over 500 product professionals drive creativity, innovation, and craftsmanship from the Mango Campus. Each Mango garment undergoes a 7- to 8-month design journey from concept to store delivery to ensure quality and style.

Expansion plan and milestones

The Lincoln Square store is Mango’s latest addition to its Manhattan footprint, following openings on Fifth Avenue, in SoHo, and at Hudson Yards. The opening is part of Mango's U.S. expansion plan that began in 2022 with the flagship store on Fifth Avenue. By the close of 2025, Mango expects to have opened around 65 stores in the United States.

Company history and broader strategy

Mango has been present in the United States since 2006. The expansion began in 2022 with the Fifth Avenue flagship. During the first phase, Mango expanded its presence in New York and surrounding areas, followed by openings in Florida (two stores in Miami and one in Orlando). The company also reached an agreement with Parsons School of Design in New York to support training scholarships for the next generation of designers and retail leaders.

More recent growth and forecasts

In 2023, Mango expanded to California, Texas, and Georgia. In 2024, the company opened stores in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Washington, D.C., and expanded in California with San Diego; in New York with Hudson Yards. In 2025, Mango plans to open around 20 new stores in the United States, focusing on the Sun Belt and the Northeast, including new stores in Louisiana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Connecticut, and Washington, and additional stores in Ohio and California (San Francisco area).

Strategic plan and market focus

The U.S. expansion is part of Mango’s 4E 2024-2026 Strategic Plan, aiming to emphasize expansion and improved sales in stores and online. The United States is one of Mango’s five main markets and the main online market. By 2026, Mango expects the United States to become one of the group’s three main markets in revenue.
