Brave Bystanders Save Lives in Nainital Highway Fire After Horrific Car Crash

A horrifying crash on the Haldwani-Gaulpaar highway turned into a dramatic rescue operation, thanks to the quick-thinking of passersby. The incident occurred when two cars collided at the Pratappur turn, sparking a massive fire that engulfed both vehicles. Tragically, one person lost their life, while several others were injured.

Within moments, the vehicles were completely consumed by flames, leaving the trapped individuals helpless. One of the witnesses, Chandan, described how he was riding his bike when the crash occurred. He was on his way home from Chorgalia Road when he witnessed the collision. Within seconds, the cars caught fire. “I saw a man lying unconscious on the road, and people around started running toward the cars to help,” Chandan recalled. The heat was intense, and the smoke made it difficult to see, but the determined locals did not hesitate.
