Four Killed in Russian Strikes Across Ukraine, Including Kyiv

Russian drone and missile attacks on Wednesday resulted in the deaths of four individuals across Ukraine, with significant impacts in Kyiv and Kharkiv. In Kyiv, explosions were reported shortly after midnight, leading to the death of one woman and injuries to two others. A subsequent drone strike in the Desnianskyi district killed another person and injured six more, bringing the total number of injured in the capital to eight, according to city administration head Tymur Tkachenko.

In Kharkiv, Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that two people were killed and 20 others injured in a series of overnight strikes. The Ukrainian air force stated that Russia launched 169 long-range strike drones and seven missiles, with air defenses managing to intercept or jam 139 of those drones. The ongoing attacks underscore the continued strain on Ukraine's air defense capabilities as the conflict persists.
