Two Dead, Two Injured in Separate Double Stabbings in East and North London

Two men were killed and two others wounded in separate double stabbing incidents in east and north London on Tuesday, prompting ongoing investigations by the Metropolitan Police.

The first incident occurred just after 4 p.m. on Watney Street in Shadwell, east London. Police and ambulance services responded to the scene, where a man believed to be in his late twenties or early thirties was found with critical injuries. He was taken to hospital but later died. Detectives are working to contact his family.

A second man in his fifties was also injured in the Shadwell incident. Police reported that his injuries are not life-threatening and that he remains hospitalized.

Later the same day, around 6:40 p.m., police were called to Primrose Hill, a popular park in north London, following reports of a fight. Paramedics treated a 21-year-old man for stab wounds at the park’s viewpoint but pronounced him dead at the scene. Another man, believed to be in his twenties, was found nearby on Regent’s Park Road with stab injuries that are not considered life-threatening. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

Detective Chief Inspector Dave Whellams expressed condolences to those affected by the violence and appealed for anyone with information—particularly eyewitnesses or those with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage—to come forward to aid the investigation.

Knife crime has been a persistent concern in London, with these two unrelated incidents on the same day heightening public attention to the issue. The Metropolitan Police have not indicated any links between the attacks.

Both investigations are ongoing, with police urging anyone who witnessed the incidents or who possesses information to assist by contacting authorities. The search for the families of the deceased men continues.
