Three Arrested in Connection With Hatzola Ambulance Arson Attack in Golders Green
Three individuals have been arrested in East London following an investigation into the arson attack on Jewish volunteer ambulances in the Golders Green area. Metropolitan Police confirmed that a 20-year-old man, a 19-year-old man, and a 17-year-old boy were taken into custody during operations carried out in the early hours of Friday morning at three separate addresses.
The Met Police stated that two of those detained are British nationals, while the third holds dual British and Pakistani nationality. All three have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit arson with intent to endanger life. They remain in police custody as searches at the relevant addresses continue.
This follows a Counter Terrorism Policing investigation launched after four ambulances belonging to Hatzola—a volunteer-led service covering Golders Green—were deliberately set on fire in the early hours of March 23. The incident drew widespread concern within the local Jewish community, given the essential role Hatzola plays in emergency response.
Two men were previously arrested on March 25 in relation to the attack and have since been released on bail, according to police.
Commander Helen Flanagan, head of Counter Terrorism Policing, emphasized the continuous efforts being made to bring those responsible to justice and acknowledged the support received from the community since the attack. She reiterated the commitment to public safety and partnership with local policing teams.
The investigation remains active, with further updates expected as police continue their inquiries.
