The crash occurred just past the Curtner exit, south of Downtown San Jose. The Lexus sustained fatalities; two people were found inside the vehicle—an adult and a child. The two Teslas involved were in opposite directions, perpendicular to the lanes. A Toyota Sienna minivan sustained rear damage but drove away.
Injuries and Vehicle Exits
Two other drivers were transported to the hospital; the extent of their injuries was not specified. All three drivers of the vehicles that caught fire were able to exit their cars.
