Three Men Sentenced to Life in Deadly Lower Merion Home Invasion
Life sentences handed down in Pennsylvania murder case
Three men convicted in a deadly home invasion in Lower Merion, Pennsylvania, United States, have been sentenced to life in prison without parole. The sentencing was announced on Thursday, September 25, 2025, and includes additional consecutive prison terms for related charges.
Murder of Andrew Gaudio and Injury to His Mother
The case stems from a December 8, 2024 home invasion at a residence on Meredith Road in Wynnewood. During the incident, 25-year-old Andrew Gaudio was fatally shot and his 61-year-old mother, Bernadette Gaudio, was left paralyzed.
Authorities determined that the defendants, Charles Fulforth, Kelvin Roberts, and Jeremy Fuentes, carried out the crime while attempting to steal firearms they planned to resell. Prosecutors linked the men to a larger gun trafficking scheme.
Wrong House Targeted
Investigators said Fuentes, who worked for a removal service, identified a Bucks County property that contained firearms and shared the information with Fulforth and Roberts. However, the men mistakenly targeted the Gaudio home in Montgomery County instead.
Fulforth and Roberts were convicted of first-degree murder, while Fuentes was convicted of second-degree murder and additional charges.
Emotional Courtroom During Sentencing
At sentencing, the courtroom heard emotional statements from the victims’ family. Bernadette Gaudio, who survived but was paralyzed, said the trial had been a difficult journey and that she would now focus on recovery.
Her surviving son explained the family’s decision not to seek the death penalty, saying that life in prison without parole was a harsher outcome.
Roberts’ relatives apologized on his behalf, citing his mental health challenges. Fuentes addressed the court directly, expressing remorse and saying he never expected the events to unfold as they did.
The judge described the invasion as one of the worst cases ever presented in her courtroom.
