Two Students Die by Suicide After Struggles with Hostel Stay
In two tragic incidents, students from Telangana ended their lives after facing distress over school and hostel-related concerns.
Teen Girl Found Dead After Leaving Home
Gugulothu Nandini, a 13-year-old girl from Ramdhanthanda in Vardhannapet mandal, Warangal district, was a Class 7 student at TSWRES Parvatagiri Gurukula School. She had recently returned home for the Sankranti holidays. However, after the break ended, her parents urged her to go back to school, which led to an emotional conflict.
Distressed over the situation, Nandini left her home on Thursday evening without informing anyone. Concerned about her whereabouts, her parents searched the village and found her near a farm well. Initially, they could not locate her in the water, but upon searching again on Friday morning, they tragically discovered her lifeless body. Authorities have registered a case, and an investigation is ongoing, according to Sub-Inspector Chander.
Class 9 Student Takes Own Life Following Family Dispute
In another heartbreaking case, 16-year-old Gajji Pal from Pasaragonda in Damera mandal, Hanumakonda district, was a Class 9 student at a government Gurukul school near Mulugu. Recently expelled from the hostel, he was hesitant to return home. Following a reprimand from his father, Pal grew upset and, in a moment of despair, ended his life by jumping into a well on Thursday.
His father, Ramesh, reported the incident, and a case has been filed. The authorities have begun an investigation, confirmed Sub-Inspector Konka Ashok.
These tragic incidents highlight the emotional struggles that students can face regarding school and hostel life. Authorities urge families and educators to foster open communication and provide mental health support to prevent such heartbreaking outcomes.
