Major Traffic Changes on Outer Ring Road This Weekend Due to Girder Installation
Bengaluru commuters, be prepared for significant traffic changes on Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Doddanekkundi this weekend. Due to the installation of a 65-meter composite girder across the Salem Bridge (Railway Crossing), traffic will be affected on January 27th and 28th between 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM.
The work will impact a stretch of ORR near Rainbow Hospital, as one side of the road, heading towards KR Puram, will be blocked for the girder installation. To ensure smooth traffic flow, the opposite side of the road will temporarily be converted into a two-way route.
Here’s what you need to know:
Traffic Impact: A 200-meter stretch from Marathahalli towards Tin Factory, including sections from Metro Pillar No. 434 to Pillar No. 435, will be closed.
Alternative Routes:
- From Marathahalli to Tin Factory and Hebbal: Take a left turn at Marathahalli Bridge, follow HAL Airport Road, turn right at Suranjandas Road Junction, and head towards NGEF Junction. From there, continue towards Tin Factory and Hebbal.
- From Tin Factory to Marathahalli: Take a left at KR Puram Railway Station, continue along ITPL Road, turn right at Hoodi Junction, and proceed towards Marathahalli via Kundalahalli.
Commuters are advised to plan their routes in advance to avoid delays. The authorities urge all road users to cooperate and stay patient as the necessary infrastructure work progresses.
