Deadly Shooting in Englewood Leaves One Man Dead and Two Injured

Violence Erupts Amid Argument in South Side Neighborhood

A shooting incident in Englewood, Chicago, on Friday night claimed the life of one man and left two others injured. The violence broke out around 9:40 PM in the 700 block of West 73rd Street, according to the Chicago Police Department.

Authorities reported that three men were standing outside when they became embroiled in an argument with an unidentified individual. The situation escalated, resulting in the assailant opening fire and striking all three victims.

Victim Details and Medical Response

A 34-year-old man sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was urgently transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center. Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival. As of now, the identity of the deceased has not been disclosed pending notification of his family.

The two other victims, a 50-year-old man and a 20-year-old man, suffered less severe injuries. The older man was shot in the back and also sustained a graze wound to his arm, while the younger man was shot in the arm. Both individuals managed to drive themselves to the same hospital and are reported to be in fair condition.
