Hector Man Dies After Head-On Collision With Semi-Truck on Highway 212

A 56-year-old Hector man was killed Friday afternoon following a head-on collision with a semi-truck in Melville Township, Minnesota.

According to authorities, Lucas Hernandez Ruiz was driving an SUV westbound on U.S. Highway 212 when his vehicle collided with an eastbound tractor-trailer. Ruiz was pronounced dead following the crash.

The incident occurred in Renville County. Officials have not released further details regarding the cause of the collision or the condition of the semi-truck driver.
