Two Killed, One Hospitalized After Gunfire Erupts in Santa Ana

Two men lost their lives and a third man was injured after a shooting took place Sunday night in Santa Ana, authorities reported.

Officers were called to the area near West Borchard Street and South Shelton Street just after 9 p.m. following reports of gunshots. According to witnesses, multiple shots were heard, with the sound suggesting at least two different firearms were involved.

Police confirmed that a 49-year-old resident of Santa Ana died at the scene. A 46-year-old man from Fullerton was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. A third man, age 43 and from Los Angeles, was also taken to the hospital and listed in stable condition.

Officials have not released details about potential suspects or any motive connected to the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing, and the Santa Ana Police Department has not provided additional comments at this time.

Santa Ana has seen several incidents of gun violence in recent months, highlighting ongoing concerns about public safety in the area. Authorities continue to gather information as they seek to determine what led to the fatal exchange of gunfire.

As of Monday, no arrests had been announced and the identities of those involved have not been released by police.
