Texas Authorities Issue Clear Alert for Missing San Antonio Man

San Antonio, Texas — The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has issued a statewide Clear Alert for a 64-year-old man reported missing in San Antonio after he was last seen Friday afternoon.

Officials said Everton Ward was last spotted around 3 p.m. at 4900 Ty Terrace Street. According to DPS, there are concerns for his safety, prompting the activation of the Clear Alert system, which is used to help locate adults who may be in imminent danger.

Ward was described as wearing a black gospel shirt, brown sweatpants featuring a white stripe, and gray shoes with blue stripes at the time of his disappearance. Authorities urge anyone who sees Ward or knows of his whereabouts to call 911 immediately.

The use of the Clear Alert highlights growing efforts in Texas to quickly mobilize resources and community awareness when vulnerable adults go missing. The system aims to bridge the gap between Amber and Silver Alerts, applying specifically to adults who are believed to be in danger but do not meet other alerts' criteria.

As of now, the search for Everton Ward remains ongoing, with law enforcement asking for the public's assistance in locating him.
