SWAT Teams Respond to Barricade After Domestic Dispute on Chicago's West Side

A 23-year-old man was taken into custody late Wednesday following a standoff with police on Chicago's West Side, according to authorities. The incident unfolded around 11:40 p.m. in the 2700 block of West Flournoy Street after a domestic incident reportedly led the man to barricade himself inside a residence.

Chicago police confirmed that a SWAT team was deployed to the scene. Officers negotiated with the individual before he was arrested without further confrontation. No injuries were reported during the incident.

The case is part of ongoing efforts by law enforcement to address domestic disturbances and prevent escalation into violence. Police said that charges against the man were still pending as of Thursday morning, and the investigation is continuing.

No other individuals were reported harmed, and the area was cleared by authorities once the situation was resolved.
