South Shore shooting leaves three wounded, two in critical condition

The victims were struck while standing in the driveway of an apartment complex on the 6900 block of South South Shore Drive. All three were transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center. A 26-year-old man suffering a gunshot wound to the chest was listed in critical condition, and a second male victim, whose age was not disclosed, was also in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the neck. A third person was reported in fair condition with an injury to an arm.
Chicago Police said no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. Officers recovered multiple firearms at the scene, including a rifle and two handguns. Investigators continue to process the location and seek information from witnesses as they work to determine a motive and identify suspects in the case.
