Authorities in Utah are searching for a suspect in the deaths of three women whose bodies were discovered on Wednesday in and around Torrey, Utah, according to the state's Department of Public Safety (DPS).

The DPS reports that the Wayne County Sheriff's Office received a call on Wednesday about two bodies found on a hiking trail. As investigators examined that scene and investigated the deaths, they located a third victim in a residence in the town of Torrey.

Multiple Crime Scenes Under Investigation

The Department of Public Safety states that multiple scenes are being investigated and processed in Torrey and the surrounding areas. The DPS is assisting the Wayne County Sheriff's Office in the search for the suspect connected to the three deaths.

Authorities have not released early information on how the women died. The names of the three victims are being withheld until their next of kin are notified. According to the DPS, the victims include one woman in her thirties, another in her sixties, and a third in her eighties.

Vehicle Sought as Investigation Continues

As part of the active investigation, the Department of Public Safety is asking for the public's assistance in locating a 2022 white Subaru Outback with license plate U560YF. Authorities have not provided additional details about the vehicle beyond its make, model, year, and license plate number.

The suspect remains at large, and the investigation into the deaths of the three women is ongoing in Torrey and the surrounding area.

Residents Urged to Take Safety Precautions

With the suspect still not in custody, law enforcement officials are urging residents in Torrey and nearby areas to take extra precautions. The DPS advises people to lock their doors, remain at home or stay with others when possible, and remain vigilant about their surroundings.

Authorities are asking anyone who observes suspicious activity in Torrey or the surrounding region to report it to 911. Torrey is located near Capitol Reef National Park and the mountains of Fishlake and Dixie National Forests.
