Teenager Fatally Shot in Jacobs Neighborhood Identified
Officials have identified a 16-year-old boy who was shot and killed in the Jacobs neighborhood last week in the 3500 block of Parthenia Avenue.
Authorities confirmed that the victim was Corey Wilson Jr. Police responded to a reported shooting on Parthenia Avenue, where they found Wilson with a gunshot wound. He died at the scene.
Initial Age Report Revised by Coroner
The Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) had previously stated that the shooting victim was an adult. However, the Jefferson County Coroner's Office subsequently identified Corey Wilson Jr. as 16 years old.
The revised information from the coroner clarified the victim’s age and confirmed his identity following the incident in the Jacobs neighborhood.
Homicide Unit Leads Ongoing Investigation
