Delayed Start for Newark City Schools
Newark City Schools in central Ohio have announced a two-hour delay for the start of classes on Monday. The district is adjusting its schedule in response to the winter weather and slick road conditions reported in the area.
Weather Conditions Leading to Schedule Changes
Snow that fell on Saturday created slippery conditions across central Ohio. Bitter cold air and subzero wind chills are expected to continue through Monday morning. Winds in the region can create blowing snow, which reduces visibility and can make roads slick or covered with snow again.
