Fatal Collision Involving Dump Truck Claims One Life in Southeast Columbus

One person was killed in a crash involving a dump truck in southeast Columbus on Monday afternoon. The incident occurred around 2:40 p.m. at the intersection of Winchester Pike and Refugee Road.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, a GMC Yukon was traveling southbound on Winchester Pike when a Kenworth dump truck, heading northbound, attempted to turn west onto Refugee Road. The two vehicles collided, resulting in the death of the GMC driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
