Oklahoma City Celebrates MAPS 4 Diversion Hub Operations as $121M Multipurpose Stadium Breaks Ground South of Bricktown
City Leaders Celebrate Active Operations at $19 Million MAPS 4 Diversion Hub
OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma — Expanding evidence-based alternatives to incarceration, municipal and county leaders in Oklahoma City celebrated the grand opening and active operational milestones of the MAPS 4 Diversion Hub at 1200 Linwood Boulevard in mid-October 2026. The state-of-the-art $19 million, 35,575-square-foot facility provides comprehensive wraparound services—including mental health assessments, substance use disorder treatment, transitional housing placement, and legal representation—for individuals and families involved in the criminal legal system.
Judicial administrators and justice reform advocates confirmed that early client intake at the facility is already diverting hundreds of nonviolent individuals away from the overcrowded Oklahoma County Jail, cutting recidivism rates while addressing systemic root causes of crime.
Civil Contractors Break Ground on $121 Million MAPS 4 Multipurpose Stadium
Concurrently in downtown sports and entertainment developments, heavy civil contractors mobilized earthmoving equipment south of Bricktown following the official groundbreaking for the $121 million MAPS 4 Multipurpose Stadium. Located on a 9-acre parcel at the former Producers Cooperative Cotton Mill site, the modern 10,000+ seat venue is scheduled to open by 2028 as the permanent home of Oklahoma City’s professional USL Championship soccer club, collegiate athletic tournaments, and major outdoor music festivals.
City leaders highlighted that the venue will anchor ongoing southern expansion of the downtown core, connecting seamlessly with the OKC Streetcar route, Scissortail Park, and the bustling dining corridor along the Bricktown Canal.
City Council Allocates Sales Tax Revenue for Neighborhood Parks
Highlighting balanced capital investments across all wards, the Oklahoma City Council advanced additional allocations under the $70.3 million MAPS 4 Neighborhood and Community Parks initiative. Civil crews commenced renovations at Booker T. Washington Park, installing solar-lit walking pathways, modern sports courts, and accessible playground structures to promote community health and youth recreation across Northeast Oklahoma City.
