Monaco Yacht Show 2026 Opens at Port Hercule Featuring Over 100 Superyachts

MONTE CARLO, Monaco — The 35th annual Monaco Yacht Show opened on Wednesday at Port Hercule, gathering international shipbuilders, maritime designers, and luxury yacht owners for one of the global yachting industry's most prominent trade exhibitions.

Running from September 23 to September 26, the four-day event features more than 100 superyachts berthed across the principality's main deep-water port. Organizers confirmed that roughly 40 vessels are making their worldwide public debuts during the 2026 edition, highlighting technological advancements in hybrid propulsion, lightweight composite hulls, and sustainable onboard waste management.

Among the featured vessels on display is the 102.4-metre superyacht Nixie, alongside the 87-metre custom cruiser Angelique. Both yachts draw significant attention from commercial brokers and private collectors examining new energy-efficient auxiliary generators and alternative fuel setups intended to meet tighter Mediterranean marine environmental regulations.

The opening follows the sixth Monaco Smart and Sustainable Marina Rendezvous, held earlier in the week at the Yacht Club de Monaco, which examined commercial investments in shore-to-ship electrical power grids and low-impact port infrastructure. Industry analysts note that Mediterranean charter demand and private fleet expansion have supported steady manufacturing volumes among European shipyards despite evolving global economic conditions.

Port authorities and local security teams have implemented restricted maritime access corridors across Port Hercule throughout the exhibition. General admission and trade access continue through Saturday evening, concluding with the annual Monaco Yacht Show awards ceremony recognizing naval architecture and environmental design achievements.
