Driver Dies in Chain Reaction Crash

A late-night motor vehicle accident in the Humboldt Park neighborhood of Chicago on Tuesday resulted in the death of a male driver who collided with a parked school bus. The incident occurred around 10:55 p.m. in the 2700 block of West Augusta Boulevard, as reported by Chicago police.

According to police, the driver, operating a grey car, was traveling at a high rate of speed when he struck the unoccupied school bus. The impact was significant enough to push the bus into four additional parked vehicles in the vicinity.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene; however, they pronounced the man dead upon arrival. The authorities have not released his identity pending notification of next of kin.
