17-Year-Old Boy Fatally Shot in South Chicago Neighborhood

In a tragic incident early Thursday morning, a 17-year-old boy was fatally shot in the South Chicago neighborhood. According to the Chicago police, officers responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 1:30 a.m. in the 8300 block of South Oglesby Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim outside, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was subsequently transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
