Three U.S. Soldiers Killed in Iranian Strike on Jordan Base Identified

The Pentagon has confirmed the identities of three U.S. Army soldiers killed in an Iranian strike on the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan. Pvt. Isabella Gonzales, 19, from Carrollton, Texas, was killed on Friday, while 1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan, 25, from Ewa Beach, Hawaii, died on Saturday. Sgt. Angel S. Rampersad, 28, from Ozone Park, New York, was also confirmed dead after initially being reported missing in action.

All three soldiers were part of the Army Air Missile Defense Command and were supporting Operation Inherent Resolve, the U.S. mission against ISIS. Four other service members were medically evacuated to a hospital in Jordan but have since been discharged, with additional personnel treated for minor injuries.

The Pentagon stated that Gonzales and Rampersad were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 57th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, while Feehan was with the 2nd Battalion, 55th Air Defense Artillery Regiment at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. President Trump is scheduled to attend the dignified transfer of the soldiers' remains at Dover Air Force Base on Wednesday.

In response to the attack, U.S. forces have conducted a series of airstrikes against Iran, marking the eighth consecutive night of strikes aimed at degrading Iran's military capabilities.
