A judge has scheduled a plea and sentencing hearing for Colt Gray, a 16-year-old accused of killing four individuals during a shooting at Apalachee High School in Georgia. The hearing is set for July 24, 2024, following Gray's not guilty plea to multiple charges, including murder. The shooting, which occurred on September 4, 2024, resulted in the deaths of two students and two teachers, with several others injured.

Gray's trial was initially slated for mid-October in Columbia County, approximately 100 miles from Barrow County, where the incident took place. His father, Colin Gray, was convicted in March for providing the assault-style rifle used in the shooting and is also scheduled for sentencing later this month. Investigators revealed that Colt Gray had meticulously planned the attack, leaving behind a notebook with detailed instructions and diagrams.
