Two Men Killed, Woman Critically Injured in West Englewood Drive-By Shooting

CHICAGO — Two men have died and a woman was left critically injured following a drive-by shooting in the West Englewood neighborhood on Chicago's South Side, according to police.

The shooting occurred just before 1:00 a.m. near the intersection of 65th and Hermitage. Chicago police reported that the three victims were standing outside a home when a white SUV approached the scene. An individual inside the vehicle opened fire on the group before the SUV fled northbound down Hermitage.

According to authorities, a 30-year-old man was shot in the head and later died after being transported to a hospital. A 31-year-old man who was shot in the chest also died from his injuries. A 26-year-old woman sustained gunshot wounds to her body and was left in critical condition following the attack.
