20-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies After Collision on Touhy Avenue in Skokie
SKOKIE, Illinois — A 20-year-old motorcyclist has died following a collision with a car on Friday night in Skokie, local authorities confirmed.
Skokie police officers responded to the scene of the crash in the 5000 block of Touhy Avenue just before 10 p.m. after receiving reports of the collision.
According to investigators, the driver of the car was traveling westbound on Touhy Avenue before turning into a business. As the vehicle made the turn, it collided with the motorcycle, which was traveling eastbound on the roadway.
The motorcyclist was transported by emergency personnel to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Police have not yet released the identity of the victim or indicated whether the driver of the car faces any charges in connection with the crash.
