Two Charged, Five Cited After Bexar County Sheriff's Deputies Raid West Side Gaming Room
Two women face felony charges and five other individuals have been cited following a Thursday afternoon raid on a West Side gaming room, according to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office. Deputies executed a search warrant at approximately 3 p.m. in the 7400 block of U.S. Highway 90, located near Military Drive, following allegations that the establishment was issuing illegal payouts to customers.
During the search, investigators with the sheriff's office Organized Crime Division seized 44 gambling machines and $19,137 in cash. Authorities initially detained seven people at the scene. Following further investigation, deputies arrested two women and issued citations to the remaining five individuals for gambling participation.
The two arrested women were identified as Olga Sifuentes Rodriguez , 66, and Ecstasy Leyva , 21. Both were charged with engaging in organized criminal activity, which is classified as a state jail felony. Rodriguez and Leyva were transported to the Bexar County Adult Detention Center and have since been released on bond, according to jail records.
