Woman Held Without Bail After Three Men Shot Near Irving Park Bar

A 27-year-old woman from Humboldt Park has been charged in connection with the shooting of three men outside a tavern in Chicago's Irving Park neighborhood earlier this month, according to court records and police.

Authorities allege that Isathtia E. Perez fired 14 shots at three men—ages 37, 31, and 38—near the intersection of Irving Park Road and Francisco Avenue around 2:45 a.m. on April 12. Police said the victims had been denied entry to a nearby bar shortly before the shooting. A motive for the incident was not provided by police.

The 37-year-old victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was transported in critical condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, police said. The other two men were reported in fair condition and were taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston and Advocate Illinois Medical Center.

Perez, identified in court records as a delivery driver for a cookie shop, faces charges including attempted murder, aggravated battery, aggravated possession of a loaded weapon, and aggravated discharge of a gun. She appeared in court Thursday and was ordered held in jail. Perez is scheduled to return to court on Tuesday.
