Woman Fatally Stabbed, Man Critically Injured in West Side San Antonio Hotel Incident
A woman was killed and a man was left in critical condition after a stabbing at an extended stay hotel on San Antonio’s West Side Saturday night, according to police.
The San Antonio Police Department reported that officers responded to an emergency call around 9:30 p.m. in the 7400 block of Culebra Road. Witnesses told authorities that a 36-year-old man stabbed a 62-year-old woman with a kitchen knife in a hotel room occupied by both individuals. The attack reportedly followed an argument between the pair, though investigators have not determined their relationship.
Paramedics pronounced the woman dead at the scene. The man, who police say turned the knife on himself following the stabbing, was transported to a local hospital and remains in critical condition.
Authorities have not released the identities of either individual, and the motive behind the altercation remains unclear. Police continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the incident, and no further details about the individuals involved have been disclosed.
As of Sunday, the investigation into the fatal stabbing is ongoing.
