Body Recovered From Water at Montrose Harbor, Police Investigate
A man's body was discovered in the water Friday afternoon at Montrose Harbor in Chicago, according to police.
Police responded to the scene just after 2 p.m. in the 300 block of West Montrose Drive in the Uptown neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers located a male in the water. The Chicago Police Department Marine Unit recovered the body and emergency responders pronounced the individual dead at the scene.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office and authorities have not released additional details regarding the man’s identity or the circumstances surrounding his death.
Area detectives are continuing their investigation to determine how the man ended up in the water and the events leading to his death. Further information has yet to be made public.
