San Antonio High School Students Preview Battle of Flowers Parade Floats
San Antonio high school students gathered this week to get an early look at the floats they will feature in during the upcoming Battle of Flowers Parade, set for Friday, April 24. The event, a central highlight of the annual Fiesta celebrations, brings together students from 11 high schools across the city.
This year's parade theme, "From Pages to Possibilities," brings literature to life as each school’s float showcases a different literary genre, including mystery, fantasy, horror, and adventure. Students expressed enthusiasm as they toured the floats, sharing their anticipation after months of preparation for one of San Antonio's most celebrated community events.
LEE High School senior Haley Castro noted the unique spirit of the city’s parade, encouraging residents to participate and share in the occasion. The Battle of Flowers Parade is recognized as a longstanding tradition in San Antonio, drawing crowds and spotlighting local talent.
Preparations are ongoing ahead of the April 24 parade, with students and organizers making final arrangements to ensure the floats and performances are ready for the big night. The event is set to proceed as scheduled.
