Man Seriously Injured in Bristol Shooting; Three Arrested in Police Investigation

A man suffered serious injuries in a shooting that took place on Speedwell Road in the Speedwell area of Bristol at approximately 1:47 p.m. on Wednesday, according to Avon and Somerset Police.

Authorities reported that the wounded individual was transported to hospital, where he remains in serious condition. Investigators swiftly responded to the attack, which involved a car, and launched an intensive search for those believed to be involved.

By early Thursday morning, police had arrested a man in his twenties on suspicion of attempted murder. In addition, a man and a woman, both in their twenties, were detained on suspicion of assisting an offender. All three suspects are currently in police custody.

Police stated that they are not seeking any further individuals in connection with the shooting at this time. However, enquiries into the circumstances of the incident continue.

A police scene remains active in St Anne’s Woods, near Brislington, which has been identified as an area of interest in the ongoing investigation. Local residents can expect a heightened police presence both there and in the Speedwell area, including personnel from the National Police Air Service, specially trained firearms officers, and drone units.
