Michael Chadwick Fry Charged After Bucket of Suspected Human Remains Thrown at FBI Dallas Field Office
As of March 23, 2026, authorities in North Texas say Michael Chadwick Fry, 41, has been charged after throwing a bucket containing suspected human bones into the secure parking area of the FBI Dallas field office and posting the act online. Bartonville police have charged Fry with two counts of abuse of a corpse and one count of tampering with evidence, charging documents show.
Police say the investigation began on March 16 when Fry’s mother contacted officers after he asked her for money to rent a U-Haul and said he “had a body that needed to be moved.” A probable cause affidavit states Fry filmed himself on YouTube tossing a closed white bucket over the FBI fence; an agent reported the container held numerous bones that appeared human and are now awaiting forensic testing.
Investigators report additional online videos showing what appeared to be a skull and an urn of ashes. Authorities allege Fry stole an urn from an Oklahoma City cemetery; local police there opened a related probe in February. FBI agents also found evidence at a Denton cemetery suggesting a coffin had been removed from a mausoleum. Officials have notified next of kin, describe the matter as an active investigation, and list Fry in custody on a $30,000 surety bond pending further proceedings.
