Sandy Springs police shut down four massage businesses in Sandy Springs, Georgia, as part of an investigation into allegations of human trafficking and prostitution. The enforcement action took place during an operation identified by authorities as "Operation No Safe Haven."
According to the Sandy Springs Police Department, officers executed search warrants on Thursday at Pileo Therapy on Cliftwood Drive and Pearl Massage on Roswell Road. Police state that the warrants followed an investigation into numerous complaints alleging prostitution activities and human trafficking at these locations.
Businesses Targeted and Closed
As a result of the operation, Pileo Therapy and Pearl Massage were shut down. Authorities also closed Massage Springs and Jade Spa, both located on Roswell Road in Sandy Springs. All four establishments were shut down in connection with the ongoing investigation into alleged human trafficking and prostitution.
Arrests and Charges Filed
During the execution of "Operation No Safe Haven," officers arrested three women. Police report that two of the women were charged with City Ordinance House of Ill Fame and solicitation for an illicit sexual act. The third woman was charged with solicitation for an illicit sexual act. Officials have not released the names of the women who were arrested.
Basis for Warrants and Ongoing Inquiry
The Sandy Springs Police Department stated that the search warrants were obtained after an investigation into numerous complaints alleging prostitution activities and human trafficking at the massage businesses. The closures of Pileo Therapy, Pearl Massage, Massage Springs, and Jade Spa occurred as a direct outcome of the enforcement operation conducted on Thursday.
