Teen Arrests Follow Fatal Shooting Near Jefferson Square Park

Two teenagers, aged 15 and 16, were arrested in connection with a triple shooting that occurred on Friday afternoon in San Francisco and resulted in the death of a 15-year-old girl. Authorities announced the arrests on Tuesday.

The shooting took place in the area of Golden Gate Avenue and Laguna Street, just south of Jefferson Square Park in San Francisco’s Western Addition neighborhood. According to the San Francisco Police Department, three people were shot during the incident.

Victim Dies After Being Critically Injured

Police reported that the 15-year-old girl was critically injured in the shooting and later died at the hospital. The other two victims were also hospitalized but sustained injuries that were described as not life-threatening.

In a press release issued on Tuesday, the San Francisco Police Department stated that investigators had identified two suspects in the case, a 16-year-old and a 15-year-old. On Monday, investigators developed probable cause to arrest both teenagers in connection with the shooting.

Suspects Booked on Homicide Charge

The two teenage suspects were booked at the Juvenile Justice Center on a homicide charge, according to the police. Authorities did not release the names of the suspects due to their ages.
