Man Charged in Girlfriend's Death in Edgewater, Maryland
Arrest Made in Death at Edgewater Residence
On a Thursday in Edgewater, Maryland, police took 72-year-old Bruce William Dunham into custody and charged him in connection with the death of his 76-year-old girlfriend, Johanna Gibbs, inside a home on Linden Avenue in Anne Arundel County.
Anne Arundel County Police responded to the Linden Avenue residence at around 8 a.m. for reports of an unresponsive woman. When officers arrived, they found Gibbs inside the home. Police stated that she was pronounced dead while suffering apparent trauma to her body. Dunham and Gibbs were reported by police to have lived together in the same house.
Authorities transported Gibbs’s body to the Medical Examiner's Office to determine the cause and manner of her death. Police confirmed that Dunham was arrested and charged following the discovery of her body at the Edgewater home.

November 2024 Double Homicide in Pasadena
On November 16, 61-year-old Anthony Louis Reyes allegedly murdered 56-year-old William "Charlie" Hayes and his wife, 54-year-old Jeanna Hayes, at a home on Twickenham Road in Pasadena, Maryland. Police said Reyes was identified as a suspect after someone inside the home called 911.
Officers later located Reyes’s car in the 1600 block of Bluestone Street in Hanover and attempted a traffic stop. Police reported that Reyes led officers on an approximately seven-minute pursuit along Interstate 97 to the Quarterfield Road exit. After an initial traffic stop in Hanover, an officer sustained minor injuries during a brief struggle with Reyes, who was then taken to a local hospital.
Police stated that it appeared Reyes had both a personal and a business relationship with the Hayes family, who operate a home improvement business inside their residence.
