A social worker who was stabbed by a patient at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital on Thursday has died, according to the police department.
Police stated that the victim died on Saturday following the stabbing, which occurred in a ward at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital on Thursday at around 1:40 p.m.

Authorities reported that the stabbing took place inside a ward of the hospital. The victim, identified only as a social worker, was attacked by a patient at that location and time. The injuries from the stabbing led to the victim’s death two days later.
Suspect Identified and Arrested
Authorities said they arrested 34-year-old Wilfredo Tortolero Arriechi in connection with the stabbing at the hospital. Officials stated that, before the worker’s death, Arriechi was accused of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, mayhem, and being armed during the commission of a felony.
