Power Outages Affect Thousands in El Paso County
Thousands of people were without power in El Paso County on Monday morning.
According to the El Paso Electric Outage Map, most outages were reported in West El Paso and Fabens. As of 7 a.m. on Monday, July 21, more than 2,000 people in Fabens were affected. The estimated time for power restoration varies by location.
The outage in the Fabens area was expected to be resolved by 8:30 a.m., according to the map.
Efforts to obtain additional information from El Paso Electric were made, but no response had been received.
While the cause of the outages has not been confirmed, a flash flood warning remained in effect until 5:30 a.m. on Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
