A late-night drive near Mount Hamilton turned tragic when a single-vehicle crash claimed the life of one person along the winding roads of Highway 130. The incident occurred Monday evening in the remote stretch near Saw Tooth Canyon, a rugged and scenic area east of San Jose, California.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the crash occurred at approximately 8:55 p.m. when a westbound sedan veered off San Antonio Valley Road, also known as Highway 130. The vehicle struck a retaining wall and a culvert before bursting into flames.

The intense fire quickly engulfed the car, leaving it completely destroyed by the time emergency responders arrived.
