Missing from the Neighborhood 11-Year-Old Boy Allegedly Taken by His Teacher in Surat

In a troubling case that has left an entire neighborhood on edge, an 11-year-old boy from Surat has reportedly gone missing along with his 23-year-old tuition teacher. The two were last seen together on CCTV footage near Surat railway station, sparking a full-scale investigation by the city police.

The incident took place on Friday in the Magob area of Surat, where both the child and the teacher lived in the same residential society — the teacher on the third floor, and the boy’s family just one floor below. The boy, a Class 5 student, had been attending school and tuition under the same teacher for the past three years. With the school closed for vacation, he had continued attending tuition classes.

On the day of the incident, the boy had gone outside to play in the society during the afternoon but never returned home. Concerned, the family began looking for him and checked CCTV footage from nearby buildings. What they found shocked them — their son was seen walking with the teacher in front of a housing society near the school.

When they rushed to the teacher’s apartment, her family claimed she had left the house around 2 p.m. and her phone had been switched off since then. With no sign of the child and mounting panic, the boy’s family approached the local police in the early hours of Saturday.

Law enforcement has registered an abduction case and launched a multi-team search effort. CCTV footage later placed both the boy and the teacher at Surat railway station around 5 p.m. the same day, carrying bags — leading investigators to suspect they may have planned their disappearance.

While one team is analyzing digital evidence, others are questioning the teacher’s friends and relatives, trying to determine what led to this sudden act. Given the significant age difference and the trust placed in the teacher by the boy’s family, the case has raised serious concerns.
