Spanning 22.4 kilometers between Pont de Sèvres and Saint-Denis Pleyel, Line 15 West forms an essential arc of the continuous 75-kilometer orbital loop encircling Paris. When completed, the automated subway will provide high-speed orbital transit linking western business capitals such as La Défense and Issy-les-Moulineaux directly to northern multimodal transfer hubs, completely eliminating the necessity for outer-suburban commuters to travel through central Parisian terminals like Châtelet-Les Halles or Gare Saint-Lazare.

Driverless Automation, Deep Underground Stations, and Technical Precision

Line 15 West features 11 state-of-the-art underground stations, designed by renowned architectural teams to maximize natural lighting, passenger flow, and universal accessibility. The line will operate at Grade of Automation 4 (GoA4), utilizing driverless trainsets equipped with synchronous digital signaling, regenerative electric braking, and full-height glass platform screen doors that permit operating headways under two minutes during peak traffic hours.

Excavation is progressing via an array of earth-pressure balance Tunnel Boring Machines navigating up to 40 meters beneath dense urban districts, rail corridors, and the River Seine. SGP engineers have instituted real-time geotechnical telemetry to supervise ground stability, while circular slurry treatment facilities ensure over 90 percent of excavated chalk and clay is repurposed for regional agricultural rehabilitation and eco-construction materials.
