CeeDee Lamb Home Burglary in Fairview Leaves More Than $300,000 in Property Missing

Fairview police continue investigation into reported break-in at Cowboys receiver’s residence

FAIRVIEW, Texas — Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb was away at training camp in California when his Fairview home was burglarized July 31, police said. Authorities reported that several high-end personal belongings were taken from the residence, with the value of the missing property estimated at more than $300,000.

Fairview police officers were called to Lamb’s home at about 1:20 p.m. on July 31. When they arrived, officers met with several people at the property who represented the Pro Bowl receiver, according to police.

Investigators were shown a broken window on the side of the home. Police said they believe the window was used by the person responsible to enter and leave the residence. The department did not immediately release information about possible suspects, the specific items taken or whether surveillance footage had been recovered.

“Several high-end personal items belonging to Mr. Lamb were taken from the home,” Fairview police said in a statement cited in reports on the burglary.

Stolen property reportedly valued above $300,000

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported that the stolen items were valued at more than $300,000. Police have not publicly provided an itemized list of the property or said whether any of it has been recovered.

The reported CeeDee Lamb home burglary occurred while the Cowboys were conducting training camp in California, meaning Lamb was not at the Fairview residence at the time, according to the information released by authorities. Police did not report injuries connected to the break-in.

Fairview, a town roughly 30 miles north of Dallas, is part of the fast-growing North Texas area where professional athletes and other high-profile residents have increasingly drawn attention from thieves targeting expensive personal property. Investigations involving residential burglaries often depend on evidence collected at the entry point, neighborhood camera footage and records related to the sale or movement of stolen luxury goods.

Lamb has been one of the Cowboys’ most prominent offensive players since joining the team as a first-round draft pick in 2020. His status as a nationally known NFL player has added public attention to the Fairview case, though police have not said whether investigators believe the home was specifically targeted because of its owner.

As of Aug. 24, Fairview police said the investigation remained ongoing. No arrests or suspect descriptions had been announced, and authorities had not released additional details about the stolen property.
