A 25-year-old woman from Ontario, Canada, identified as Kaileigh Hogan, has been arrested for allegedly stealing a package containing gold and silver valued at $43,549 in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred on May 11 when Hogan reportedly signed for the package, claiming to be the owner, and left the area.

Investigation and Arrest

The Bensalem Township Police responded to a report of the stolen FedEx package after a family member of the victim witnessed the theft. Utilizing surveillance footage, police identified Hogan and the vehicle she used, a rented Nissan sedan, which she had picked up from Philadelphia International Airport the day before the theft.

After the theft, Hogan returned to the airport and flew to Arizona. Following an investigation, police issued an arrest warrant for her, charging her with forgery, theft by unlawful taking, and theft by deception. Authorities alerted U.S. Customs and Border Protection about the warrant due to Hogan's visa status in the United States.

Cross-Border Capture

On July 5, Hogan was apprehended while attempting to cross back into Canada at Lewiston, New York. She was subsequently transported to Bensalem for her arraignment on July 31. Hogan's bail has been set at $1 million, and she is currently held at the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
