Wrong-Way Crash Claims Life of 63-Year-Old Man in San Antonio
San Antonio, Texas, witnessed a tragic accident on Friday night when a wrong-way collision resulted in the death of 63-year-old Luis Martinez. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. in the 5200 block of Roosevelt Avenue, close to Loop 410.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, Martinez was driving northbound in the southbound lanes of Roosevelt Avenue when another vehicle was approaching from the south. In a desperate effort to avoid a head-on collision, both drivers swerved into the same lane, resulting in a violent crash.
Initial reports indicated that Martinez suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
