22-Year-Old Preschool Teacher Korrina Lopez Dies in Mount Baldy Crash
A 22-year-old preschool teacher, Korrina Lopez, was killed in a car crash on July 17 in Mount Baldy, San Bernardino County. The California Highway Patrol reported that Lopez was a passenger in a vehicle that collided with another car after the driver lost control while attempting to overtake another vehicle.
The crash occurred just north of Shinn Road, and the driver of the car Lopez was in was unable to avoid the collision. The driver accused of causing the crash sustained minor injuries. The incident is currently under investigation by the CHP, which is seeking information from the public.
Lopez's family and friends have gathered at a memorial outside Solid Ground Church, where she worked as a preschool teacher. Her family described her as a kind and caring individual, with her brother, Isaiah, stating he had promised to care for their mother, who has been diagnosed with stage four brain cancer. Community members have expressed their condolences and support during this difficult time.
